- Defence Minister Angie Motshekga is working to bring back the bodies of soldiers who died in the Democratic Republic of Congo to South Africa by Thursday, after a delay in their expected arrival on Tuesday.
- The soldiers, who were stationed in the DRC since December 2023, will be buried with full military honors, and efforts are being made to improve the living conditions of other soldiers in the area.
