- Ian Cameron, chairperson of the police committee, believes that the VIP Protection Unit should reallocate non-essential functions due to its disproportionate R2 billion budget that offers little value to society.
- He also mentioned that the committee will investigate the purchase of a R25 million hotel by Crime Intelligence and consider disbanding the National Inspectorate and Complaints Unit.
