  • Minister of Home Affairs Leon Schreiber refused to answer a question from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) about the citizenship status of tech entrepreneurs Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and David Sacks, stating that he won't let his department be used for political purposes.
  • Schreiber emphasized that decisions at Home Affairs are based on the Constitution, rule of law, rationality, and just administration, and suggested that EFF leader Julius Malema should consider apologizing for divisive rhetoric instead of using Home Affairs for political agendas.
