GNU statement of intent requires all parties to be consulted on any matters - DA
  • The Democratic Alliance (DA) is upset with the African National Congress (ANC) and President Cyril Ramaphosa for not consulting all parties in the Government of National Unity (GNU) when signing bills into law, as required by the GNU statement of intent.
  • The DA believes that decisions should be made with the consensus of 60% of seats in Parliament, and they argue that the current administration is a new coalition government that should not simply continue the previous government's practices without proper consultation.
