- Deputy President Paul Mashatile announced that all parties in the Government of National Unity agreed to support Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana's budget, which will be reviewed by Parliament in June for adoption.
- This comes after the previous fiscal framework was overturned by the courts, leading to the ANC having to seek support from opposition parties for the new budget, which Mashatile believes will be successful.
