- The Democratic Alliance (DA) plans to introduce a bill in Parliament to improve governance at the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), which manages pensions for civil servants, following issues raised by the Mpati Commission.
- The proposed changes aim to remove political influence from the PIC's board and ensure better protection for pension funds, including allowing the board to elect its own chairperson and appoint executive directors independently.
