- Justice Cecilia Githua ruled that former Migori governor Okoth Obado, his PA Michael Oyamo, and former Migori county employee Caspal Obiero have a case to answer in the murder of Sharon Otieno, a former Rongo University student.
- The judge found that the prosecution had provided enough evidence for the three to defend themselves in court, but acquitted them on the charge of killing Sharon's unborn baby due to the baby not being born alive.
