- National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula confirmed that only four Members of Parliament would be sponsored to travel to Addis Ababa in support of Kenya's African Union Commission Chairperson candidate Raila Odinga.
- The four MPs, led by Belgut MP Nelson Koech, will be traveling in their official capacities, while the other 40 MPs who expressed interest in attending will have to self-fund their trip.
- The election for the AUC Chair will take place on February 15, with Odinga competing against candidates from Djibouti and Madagascar.
