- Alhaji Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka, the Minister-designate for the Interior, plans to review the recruitment of security personnel done by the previous government with the help of security experts to ensure it is in the country's best interest.
- He also aims to address issues like delayed promotions, bribery, and police abuses by implementing measures such as body cameras for police officers, installing CCTV cameras at police stations, and establishing an Independent Standard Police Bureau for investigating complaints against the police.
