- The Upper East Regional Coordinating Council has proposed to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and the Ghana National Gas Company to develop the long-neglected Bolgatanga Sports Stadium to provide a proper sports facility for the region.
- This development aims to support youth talent, reduce costs for local football clubs, and enable the region to host major sporting events.
