- The Asante Mampong Traditional Council has banned public processions and funerals in their area for the one-week observation of the late Asante Mamponghene's passing, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, until the final funeral rites are completed.
- The Funeral Committee, led by the Adontenhene and Chief of Ejura, Barimah Osei Hwedie II, has asked the public to follow the council's directives, with the main funeral arrangements to be announced after a meeting with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
