- The Kwahu Traditional Council has clarified that the Paramount Queen Mother, Nana Adwoa Gyamfuah III, was not abducted but taken into police custody to prevent unrest after she allegedly hired thugs to disrupt the work of the Paramount Chief.
- The police have since released her and are conducting an internal investigation into the incident while increasing security in the area.
