This is what I was destined for - Usman
Did you hear him legit say just that??? The guy has really worked his way up to this. It meant a lot to him and on personal ground, being a Nigerian as well. The homeboy has just made us proud away from home.
Although boxing is not my thing, lol. Can't just stand watching those punches to the head. It is for him, he gives those punches and takes some back when it turns against him. We can only give him the kudos here, and hope he keeps his head high for future challenges. Best of luck Usman Kamaru

Kamaru Usman is another reason to be proud as a Nigeria. The first African UFC champion and is from Nigeria and seeing him "flow" in pidgin was as Nigerian it gets. Keep doing your thing Usman, we will be cheering you on.

Admittedly, I have a strong atteachment to this piece of news, good news if you may. As far as I'm concerned, Kamaru Usman did not only will the biggest competition in the MMM to emerge as the first African fighter to have ever win a Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title, No! He changed a narrative. This is especially true since "he left Benin City", a place in Nigeria that many believe good cannot come from. This is a big win for all of us in Benin, and Nigeria at large.

Wow! This is amazing. The 31-year-old Nigerian comes out victorious in that Ultimate Fighting Championship title. The expectation for a young boxer like him to have won and become the first African champion in one of the biggest competition is highly impressive. This will uplift young Africans to keep up tight in all aspect of sports. Proudly African.
