This is a good move by Kenya. I wish Nigeria will follow suit. Data charge is too high. The telecom companies in Nigeria is fleecing us badly and they don't even care. One of the network providers in Nigeria Glo has one of the lowest rates out there but their data speed is shambolic. Others are not any better. MTN being the worst of them all. One would have imagined that competition would cause charges to keep going down with improving network quality but that is not the case in Nigeria. You are not going to eat your cake and have it. Either you get great data speed, but exorbitant charges or poor internet speed with low charges. It's pathetic. Not to digress further, this is great for Kenya and the other countries adopting this.
