- Amnesty International is calling for an investigation into the severe beatings and ill-treatment of 59 opposition supporters, including six women, in Cameroon.
- The supporters were tortured and detained by security forces after a peaceful protest, with some describing being forced to walk like ducks in the mud and subjected to physical exercises and beatings.
- Amnesty International is also urging for the immediate release of their leader, Maurice Kamto, and over 100 other supporters who have been arbitrarily detained for peaceful participation in protests.
