Jumia knows the African market like no other. This is what keeps them above others. They offer e-commerce customized to Africans that is making it difficult for Amazon and Alibaba to replicate. Jumia is created for Africa but Amazon and Alibaba belong to the US and China and coming into the African market is not always going to be easy with a company like Jumia in control of a large share of the market already. Jumia's listing on the New York Stock Exchange has cast a huge spotlight on the company and it is evident going forward, that Jumia will not be slowing down at all.
