- Confusion arose at a planned press briefing at the home of Tonse Alliance Spokesperson Sean Tembo, disrupted by individuals believed to be from the Patriotic Front, leading to accusations from New Congress Party Leader Peter Chanda against Tembo and Zumani for not serving the Alliance's interests.
- Chanda criticized the decision to hold the briefing at Tembo's residence instead of a neutral venue, warning against attempts to assume leadership through the back door and highlighting the ongoing struggle within the Alliance to appoint new leadership since the death of its Chairperson.
