- Advocate Terry Motau, representing the SABC, denied breaching the editorial code after Advocate Dali Mpofu accused the broadcaster of misusing its authority by using the term 'Government of National Unity' (GNU).
- Mpofu, representing former president Jacob Zuma and the MK Party, argued that the SABC was taking a political stance, but the SABC defended its position by stating that adding an explainer to the term could be seen as biased.
