Montana slams SARS over 'insane' R55 million tax debt claim
  • Lucky Montana, the former head of PRASA, claims he does not owe the South African Revenue Service (SARS) the R55 million they say he owes in tax debt, arguing that most of this amount is due to excessive interest and penalties.
  • He held a media briefing to respond to SARS's public disclosure of his tax issues, which he believes is an abuse of power, while he insists that his actual tax burden is much lower at around R8 million.
