- The Democratic Alliance (DA) has criticized President Cyril Ramaphosa's selection panel for the next national director of public prosecutions, claiming it lacks necessary legal expertise in criminal justice.
- DA MP Glynnis Breytenbach expressed concern that the panel, which includes various officials and lawyers, does not have any members with prosecutorial experience, questioning how they can effectively nominate candidates for such an important role.
