- Former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe has resigned from his position as a Member of Parliament for the uMkhonto weSizwe Party to focus on his role as Treasurer General.
- This is his second resignation from Parliament, following a brief term with the African National Congress in 2017, and comes after another controversial figure, Lucky Montana, also stepped down from the MK Party.
