- The Kenfac Youth Recyclers initiative in Cape Town empowers young people by teaching them waste management skills and helping them earn money through collecting and selling recyclable materials.
- After completing a 12-month learnership, the group established a buy-back center at the Kensington Civic Centre, where they sort and sell recyclables to buyers, providing income for the participants and helping clean up the community.
