- Former National Lotteries Commission board chairperson Alfred Nevhutanda requested the State Security Agency to investigate the leaking of documents exposing lottery corruption in December 2018.
- The SSA found that the leaked information did not pose a threat to national security and suggested that the prevalence of corruption and irregularities within the NLC gave ample motive for media exposure.
