- Energy Cabinet Secretary James Opiyo Wandayi has rejected criticism from ODM party members who want him to continue criticizing the government while serving in the Executive, stating that he cannot be compelled to do so.
- Wandayi emphasized that he has better platforms to air his views as a Cabinet secretary and defended the government's performance in revitalizing the economy and gaining global recognition, while also cautioning critics that the electorate will judge the government's performance during elections.
