- Nick Odhiambo Migot, a former ICT director in Kisumu County, was arrested by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for allegedly using fake academic certificates to get a job.
- He is accused of forging a Computer Science degree certificate from JKUAT and a KCSE certificate from KNEC, leading to charges of forgery and uttering a false document.
- Odhiambo is currently detained and will face these charges in court, while the EACC advises public entities to strengthen controls against fake certificates to maintain integrity in public service.
