- President William Ruto of Kenya met with South Sudan's main opposition group to discuss peace talks, at the request of President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan.
- The mediation process has been adjourned until March to allow for further consultations, as Kenya has been facilitating these talks for the past 11 months to address political stalemates and humanitarian challenges in South Sudan.
