- The Kenya Railways Corporation has announced that the Madaraka Express train will now make a 3-minute stopover at Voi station during night operations starting December 15, 2024, following a directive from President William Ruto.
- This change aims to accommodate residents' requests for night travel and uninterrupted business activities, with the train schedule adjusted to include the stopover between 2:05am and 2:08am for the Nairobi-bound train and 11:45am to 11:48am for the Mombasa-bound train.
