- The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has launched a new coalition called Coalition for Safety (C4S) to lead the Kaa Safe Mtaani campaign aimed at reducing electrical and petroleum accidents through education, collaboration, enforcement, and changing public perception.
- EPRA's Director General, Daniel Kiptoo, emphasized the need for personal responsibility in promoting safety within the energy and petroleum sectors to prevent accidents like the recent Mradi, Embakasi petrol station explosion that claimed lives and highlighted the importance of awareness and compliance with safety regulations.
