Shades of the Italian job. The Liberian central bank and government seemed to have been involved in some shady deal. Such amount of money just doesn't disappear and reappear in the way it did. Banknotes ordered y the central bank bwithout senate approval or oversight, an increase of bank notes in circulation overnight reeks of corrupt practices.
How can they justify this unlawful act? It is a relief though to read that the scandal started way back into President Ellen Sirleaf last tenure. But this still surfacing in President George Weah's tenure is something to be looked into. There are just too many questions around this and this really have to be tackled by the presidency. Corruption like this should be put within arm's length so country can move forward. Having to move money / banknotes to and from the country's vault without some legal approval is treason and treason is an offence that carries with it a very severe punishment.
