- South Africa and Kenya have resolved a visa dispute, allowing Kenyans to visit South Africa visa-free for up to 90 days a year starting on Jan. 1.
- The presidents of both countries also praised a recent peace agreement in Ethiopia and directed their trade ministers to address trade barriers between their nations.
