- Andela, a tech accelerator in Africa, is laying off over 400 employees in Nigeria, Uganda, and Kenya as it shifts focus from training junior developers to supplying experienced developers for its customers.
- The company will provide support for the affected developers and partner with tech hubs to absorb them, while also stopping training programs in these countries except for Rwanda.
- Andela is making these changes to adapt to market demands and plans to hire 700 senior developers by the end of 2020.
