- Kenya launched Africa's largest wind power farm, Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP), to increase electricity generation and move towards 100% green energy by 2020.
- The project, costing around $700 million, involves 365 wind turbines that will generate 310 megawatts of power, contributing 13% to the national grid and making Kenya a global leader in renewable energy.
