- Rwanda is rapidly growing its economy and leading Africa in technology and infrastructure development, recently launching Africa's first electronic cross-border trade platform with Alibaba's help and constructing the Kigali Innovation City, set to be Africa's Silicon Valley.
- The project, valued at $2 billion and located in Kigali's Special Economic Zone, will host universities, tech companies, biotech firms, and more, with Africa50 investing $400 million to boost the innovation ecosystem and create over 50,000 jobs annually, aligning with Rwanda's vision to become a globally competitive knowledge-based economy.
