Female role models in the tech industry are quite rare, not only in Africa but also across the globe. Although in its early stages, conferences such as the 2nd African Summit in Women and Girls in Technology could go a long way towards promoting the engagement of Females in the tech industry.

Africa is making giant strides with women inclusiveness in the tech industry. It's great to see role models rising up to address the need for more women in building a future for African tech. Sarah Osikhuemhe's work with Abo Coders is exceptional. Turning complete tech novices to women with basic to intermediate skill levels. I am also moved by Tadzoka Pswarayi's introduction of child care services to encourage more women participation in her company's programs. Kudos to these female role models who make up thousands that dot the landscape trying hard to pave the way for more women to be confident and be part of the digital transformation currently sweeping through the continent.
